Terms
Be a normal person.
These are the rules of using Roux. We've written them in plain English. The legal long-form is the same thing said twice.

Using Roux
You can use Roux to save, organise, and cook from your recipes. You can share recipes and menus with other people. You can't use it to abuse our servers, spam other users, or do anything illegal.
Your account
You're responsible for the email address you sign up with and for keeping access to it. If you lose your email, you may lose your account. We can't recover passwords on your behalf.
Your content
Recipes, menus, notebooks, and notes you save are yours. You grant us a non-exclusive license to store and display them so we can run the service. Nothing more.
If you share a recipe publicly, you're saying you have the right to share it. Don't paste in someone else's paid cookbook and call it a day.
The service
Roux is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it up, fast, and accurate, but we can't guarantee it'll never go down or that scaling a recipe will always produce a great dinner.
We may update Roux, fix bugs, or add features. We'll give notice before any change that materially affects how you use it.
Pricing
Roux is free today. If we ever introduce paid features, they'll be additive. Anything you're using now won't get paywalled.
Ending things
You can delete your account any time from Settings. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service, but we'll tell you why and give you a chance to export your data before we do.
